To help prevent the winch strap's webbing from wearing down to the thread, we've equipped our steel powder-coated flat hook with an aluminum edge guard in the webbing slot. This guard is a round piece of metal that acts as a shield, preventing the hook and the webbing from constantly rubbing against each other.
