The BUSlink CipherShield Encrypted External SSD Drive delivers enterprise-grade protection for confidential and regulated data. Its solid-state design offers shock resistance and lightweight portability, reducing risk if dropped during operation. Using 256-bit AES hardware encryption with physical CipherKey authentication, all data is encrypted in real time at the device level. When the key is removed or power is lost, the drive automatically locks to prevent unauthorized access. CipherShield features Smart Insert Technology with two key operation modes. Mode 0 requires the CipherKey to remain inserted for access, providing maximum security. Select models also support Mode 1 Hot-Plug, allowing continued operation after authentication while automatically locking when the USB or power cable is disconnected. The drive is FIPS 140-2 compliant and supports HIPAA, HITECH, FERPA, and TAA requirements. No passwords, PINs, or software drivers are required. Dual USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) and eSATA interfaces ensure fast performance and compatibility with modern and legacy systems. Includes two CipherKeys.
