While there are some signs of use, keep also in mind the soft rubber gel-like material these remotes are made of shows what looks like scratches all the time but are more of a mark left from any surface friction from any touch. Not necessarily real, permanent damage. They tend to not immediately wipe away but do fade as new well. New markings come and go but the pro gaming controller itself is super durable.
