This is an old MD player that was gathering dust in the closet.
It's a rare type with built-in speakers.
I'm selling it to someone who appreciates it.
I charged it and tested its operation, and music played from the speakers. (I tested the operation with a gum battery, but I haven't confirmed it with AA batteries.)
However, I only played it for about 3 minutes, so I cannot guarantee its operation beyond that.

One thing, the adhesive on the lid of the gum battery compartment has come off. (Last two photos)
However, it fits in place, so the lid closes and there were no operational problems.
