Extremely rare MidCentury Modern Paul Evans Cityscape Hollywood Regency Style Desktop Organizer circa 1970 Modernist design with cubist chrome and brass Cityscape patchwork ornamentation design throughout. Two matching set items: 1) A papers or folders or letters or mail tray, typical of the “Madmen” days of 1969-1972 advertising and promotion. 2) A notepad holder, when notes were the way to communicate, well before computer or IPhone. From research these items could have been associated with Stylebuilt Accessories, N.Y., N.Y. Dimensions of note pad holder: 7 3/4” long, 6 1/2” wide, 2 1/2” tall in back and 1 3/4” tall in front & weighs 1 3/4 lbs. Dimensions of the paper tray: 14 1/4” long, 11” wide and 2 3/4” tall & weighs 4 lbs. Excellent vintage condition with superficial scratches on chrome & brass. Black formica inside lining, perfect condition. Black undersides original felt, perfect condition. Also known as made by Directional Cityscape desk accessories, designed by Paul Evans.
