Pokémon Colosseum for the GameCube is a unique Pokémon RPG where the player, as a former member of the criminal organization Team Snagem, sets out to redeem himself by battling against Cipher, a group that corrupts Pokémon into "Shadow Pokémon". Unlike traditional Pokémon games, there are no wild Pokémon encounters, and the player must steal (or "snag") Shadow Pokémon from other trainers and purify them. The game features a darker storyline, double battles, and a desert setting in the Orre region.
