The thread gauge ring must screw onto the entire length of the workpiece's thread by hand, without excessive force. If this isn't possible, the thread does not meet the required standards (i.e., it's defective). All workpieces and gauges are referenced at 20°C. Upon request, VÖLKEL can provide a factory calibration certificate (price available upon inquiry). Calibration is performed in an independent lab following established standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC thread scanners.
