The Tyrant in the title is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and this comic is a biography of one particular thunder lizard. No, not a mutant T. Rex with human level intelligence or one somehow alive in the present, but a detailed look at what the life of one of these famous dinosaurs might have been like. The life starts from the very beginning; the title character is not born until the very end of #3, which details its development in the egg.

The writer/artist is Stephen Bissette, known for his art on Swamp Thing and work with the Taboo anthology.
