The rectangular columnar shape is an excellent vehicle to show off the parallel bands of the agate stone. The snuff bottle carver used three sides out of four to utilize the undulating bands, up and down and across. There are even two eye. The square raised foot is recessed from the rectangular form. The opening of the mouth is slightly concave, The bottle is matched with a brown agate round top with a black collar. The brown collar is a good contrast to the gray color of the bottle. It was custom made for the bottle. The top makes a snap sound when pushed back.
